thanks for your comments on the dance thang - you are absolutely right ( I was just being my usual goofy self - don't want my ex-hockey playing buddies to know that I'm now a dance connassieur lol ). So, you dance ballroom? very cool - are you going to teach me?! lol
Teach?? I am nowhere near good enough for that. I wish I were. But it's lots of fun. You should try it out sometime
You might really have to worry about your ex-hockey playing friends if you did though - enough of my friends get made fun of... But only by those who don't really know what it's really like. It can be pretty manly for the guys, at times. Plus you get to know lots of girls
lol, to tell the truth, I don't really @#$@#$ care what anyone thinks - if men are too insecure in their sexuality to try something like dance, then too bad for them. I completely agree with you, dance can be quite the discipline and requires strength, agility, and of course creative ability/artistic expression. And I've really come to appreciate it, as you may have noted in my recent ramblings lol, that much more.
So, hook me up with the dance thing and the girls!! or teach me! or both! lol
Hmm, well I assume you still live in the same area (Vancouver-ish)? If so, check out Robson Square on Friday evenings at 8 - there are lessons at 8 for half an hour and then demos at 9 and 10 for half an hour each time. This Friday (tomorrow!) should be amazing, and next week UBC Dance Club is demo-ing (yay for UBC!). The Robson Square dance evenings go every Friday in the summer until September 1st, I believe. Actually, there's a website: [link]
My goodness, I haven't been on deviantart in almost two months. It's sorta scary. Well, I did go on vacation for a couple of weeks and then, after that, the computer wasn't as - addicting, I guess you could say, as before. Then school started - and I've been bogged down in work, and just today remembered about this site. Ah, my wonderful memory.
Yes, I think classical music is extremely important, not just historically but also for relaxation purposes, in my case.
But what about other types of music? What do you like listening to? I like my dad's oldies... Pink Floyd (aka Fink Ployd), the Byrds, Beatles... and then some more modern things, like my uncle's guitar ([link]) and then, Celtic music, and other ecletic bits and pieces.
cool, I play/write music as well ( check out the deviant web-page link thangie on my user page for some of my tune-ages- if ya dare lol ). What sort of musical stuff done ye do? writer? singer? instrumentalist? groupie? lol I jest.... perhaps we can jam one of these days? or collaborate? ha
